Ideally you would want to deactivate the licence on the original server before/after you use the key on another one, but if your original server is corrupted then this obviously isn't possible. A key can typically be used on up to 3 instances. If there are issues registering on another device, then the maximum number of activations may have been exceeded, in which case you need to contact Tableau Support for help.

It looks like this is an error in the java script which interacts with Tableau.

Could you try with another browser just to find out if it is broswer related? I don't have an iPad and don't know if it allows for other browsers than Safari.

I think what @Vishwarath Nagaraju​ ​suggests in the above linked thread is a good path to go. Raise a support ticket and reach out to your tableau admin.

Hi Abednego, sejak awal tableau extract tidak dibuat untuk menggantikan datawarehouse.

Tableau Extract dibuat untuk summary data yang bisa di load ke memory untuk mempercepat queries. Ini adalah best practice untuk tableau extract. Apalagi jika menggunakan Tableau Online yang notabene adalah shared resources untuk semua customer yang menggunakan Tableau online.

Saya punya beberapa saran:

1. Jangan gunakan Full Refresh, gunakan Incremental Refresh. Dokumentasi nya tersedia disini:

2. Jangan buat 1 BIG Extract file, tapi buat banyak Small Extract file dengan menggunakan fitur filtering ketika membuat file extract tersebut. Buat small extract file sesuai dengan use case nya, jadi ada DashboardA yang akan gunakan ExtractA, DashboardB anak gunakan ExtractB, dan seterusnya.

3. Buat Extract file untuk Summary data, dan buat Extract file untuk Transaction Detail data. Lalu buat Summary Dashboard yang akan menggunakan Summary data extract, dan buat Dashboard Detail yang akan menggunakan Transaction Detail Extract file. Lalu gunakan Dashboard (Filter) Actions untuk Drill Down dari Summary Dashboard ke Transaction Detail dashboard

Semua user diarahkan untuk membuka Summary dashboard. Dan mereka bisa drill down ke Detail Dashboard jika butuh detail data. Cara ini adalah best practice dan akan lebih cepat karena semua summary data bisa disimpan di memory.

4. Transaction Detail Dashboard juga bisa di setup untuk menggunakan Tableau Bridge yang akan melakukan Live query ke database di data center anda. Tapi kecepatan nya akan bergantung dengan kecepatan internet anda. Tableau Online data center saat ini ada 2 di USA dan 1 di Ireland jadi Tableau Bridge live connection mungkin bukan solusi yang tepat jika internet speed anda tidak begitu kencang.

Could you please post the URL you are attempting to log into - I suspect you have been sent a tableau public URL instead of your server URL.
