Hello,
One of the issues I've noticed in the past few meetings, is that there is a lack of repeat attendees. I wonder if a portion of this is due to the variety of experience levels, and trying to meet the needs (or provide relevant information) for all.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this and on how we could address it? We seem to have a core group that normally attends, but it would be nice to grow the regulars.
I have a few ideas, but I thought it would be good to solicit from everyone as well.
I often end up not being able to make it because of work, pure and simple.
I certainly think skill levels are going to be a factor, just as they are at the Customer Conference. I don't know the solution, but agree, it is something that impacts attendance.
Posting resources used during each event after the event, or recording events, might help encourage participation as well. Some other User Groups are doing this, and they seem to be well attended -- and for those who cannot attend, they have the option to watch later. I know that is not always ideal, since this can encourage folks NOT to attend, but I just think it raises the bar a bit, in terms of what the UG offers.
