Hello...
Hope to have an answer from a tableau genius in this group who had passed the Desktop Certified Professional Exam.
Kindly provide me the guidance on how to prepare for the exam & obviously any tips are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Oct 24, 2018, 4:45 AM Hi Seemanth. Did you find anyone?
Hello to the group !
I have just moved to Dubai and was wondering if there are many companies that have invested in Tableau over here.
Most of what I've seen (so far) is that companies are SAP/Oracle/Microsoft-heavy and probably use the respective stacks for running BI. I've also known a few SMBs also go for QlikView as their BI solution.
I'd love to hear from the analysts, engineers or consultants in the area.
I know there hasn't been much activity on the group lately - I'll still try my luck
Peace
Shafeeq
Mar 30, 2016, 1:15 PM Hello Shafiq,
Thanks for getting in touch with Tableau! Tableau has been in the UAE for a long time and we have 100s of customers using Tableau.
More than happy to talk through some of the use cases and some examples of local companies using Tableau - mmassouh@tableau.com
Thanks
Mark
Does anyone have any tips...?
Jul 31, 2014, 12:18 AM Here's what I did to learn Tableau Desktop
1. Watch all the videos in the OnDemand training section of the website (including, when available, downloading and working with the worksheet for each lesson) .. watch all unto and including "Advanced Chart Types" in this list
2. Read Dan Murray's "Tableau Your Data" (I absolutely recommend this book - you need to buy this book. Mine is completely marked-up, highlighted, with post-its etc)
3. Download one or two worksheets from the Tableau public library and recreate - you'll love the exercise - it'll be fun, sometimes challenging, but an incredible exercise. You'll be surprised.
