Greetings!

Does anyone know if Tableau Online is FedRAMP certified?  The only one content that I could find was from a Tableau employee 5 years ago…

Thank you in advance!!

    Hi @Budi Lubis

From checking internally it currently not FedRAMP certified. I know in the other question there was mention of it being on the roadmap but I don't have any timings on that unfortunately.

Are you trying to deploy Tableau Server in a U.S. federal government environment?

Are you confused about FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 140-2, STIG, and how these apply to Tableau Server?

If so, come and learn about all of these subjects and best practices on how to successfully deploy Tableau Server in these environments and receive your Authority to Operate (ATO).

I work in a county mental health office where we use Tableau in a number of ways. For the non-profit agencies that we monitor, we use Tableau to view, trend, and compare the finances that we receive. We also use Tableau for the outcomes data that is received from the agencies. A new project that we have begun is mapping the agencies and the health services that they provide in order to view the gaps in the county and find best places to direct individuals.

I'm interested in hearing about how others working in government are using Tableau or any new project suggestions for government/healthcare data. We want to use Tableau to its fullest capabilities and also be helping to provide relevant analysis in our reports for the commmunity and internally.

Thanks!

Hello I have a question about our online tableau account. We have two domains at the Town, one for Muni and one for PD. Of course, PD has all the security bells and whistles.

How should we set up Police Dept Tableau online to have their reports separate from the Municiple side (what we are using now)?

How do other municipalities do this?

WOW! I'm only just seeing this thread now, I don't know if you have an answer already or not?

The answer is security - specifically users and groups. Each person has their own username, each username should be assigned to one (or maybe more) Groups. Then on the Project side, assign permissions at the Project and Group level. You probably want to REMOVE All Users from everything and assign the PD Groups to the PD related projects and the Muni Groups to the Muni related projects. You can create groups and projects as you require, so you might need a BOSS MODE Group that can access all projects, etc...

Hi all,

I am new to group here and just wondering what folks are using Tableau for in their day-to-day? I work in public health and we use it do monitoring and analytics - most recently with the COVID-19 pandemic.
