Salesforce Trailblazers in the Aloha State. We are way more active on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14074927

Aloha all,

I became certified years ago. I have kept it current but honestly I do not work with Salesforce often.

I have interviewed for Salesforce positions but haven't gotten any.

Recently, I have been doing IT Help Desk. However, I think I want to jump back into trying to land that entry level Salesforce administrator position.

Does anyone have any advice? I need to get caught up with how the platform is currently. I haven't been working too much with the platform these past few years and have instead been interested in cybersecurity and traditional admin.

What do employers expect and want? I recently had an interview but didn't know terms that I once remembered.

If you missed out on our Salesforce Data Cloud convo last month, here's a recap of our key takeaways:

📊 Discovering how Data Cloud revolutionizes reporting, significantly helping admins by simplifying data modeling. No more complicated formulas and roll-ups to get desired report formats!

🖥️ Assessing enterprise solutions that help map info together from different data sources like Marketing Cloud, ETL, and more. Dived deep into key-ing strategies and why they're used.

✨ Receiving feedback from attendees who acknowledged how these tools can ease the work of Admins, regardless of project complexity or skill level.

We're excited to see how this could be used with more community survey data, external health data, or neighborhood/regional data to match against program delivery data in Salesforce.

Catch us at our next session on user adoption 👉 https://lu.ma/v8rujops

Aloha everybody.  I just found this group but there doesn't appear to be any activity since 2022. Chiming in to see if anyone in here is still active in the Salesforce ecosystem in the 808 State?

I'm curious.

Would being in a different part of the country significantly increase my chances of getting an entry-level position?

Hi Cristopher, so I think the answer is yes, there are other places in the US with just more businesses that use Salesforce, and even if you're going to work from home, most businesses like their employees close by.  That said we know that there are big businesses in Hawaii that use salesforce.  If Hawaii is where you want to be, you can make it happen.
