UK Christian Trailblazers

This is a group for Christians (or anyone curious about Christianity) or people who work for Christian organisations, who would like to connect for fellowship, networking, or sharing best practices for using Salesforce in Christian and non-profit organizations, but with a UK focus.

Hi,

I'm going to London's Calling and the Salesforce World Tour (or whatever AI related title they are giving it this year...).

I'm thinking of having an in person meet up for both of these during the "Lunch hour" or even after the event.

Is anyone interested in meeting up?

I don't usually post general Salesforce news here, as there are plenty of other forums for that, but this is a really important post, as people could lose access to Salesforce if they don't make changes by July 1st.

I found this page explains it best

Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to the next UK Christian Trailblazers at 1pm on Wednesday.

José Carlos De Oliveira Escalona from Survival International (not a Christian charity, but a fantastic cause!) will be talking about the Salesforce DevOps Center.

I'm also thinking, as it's the start of a new year, let's discuss our plans for 2026 and maybe make some Salesforce New Year’s resolutions!

I'm still up for any other suggestions if you want to email me them. (

Can I ask a quick favour?

Salesforce recently changed their data export policy, which now blocks us from downloading multiple backup files at once. Attempting to do so triggers an

"HTTP ERROR 429: Too many requests" error.

This has turned a 5-minute task into a 30-minute ordeal every week.

Please consider upvoting this IdeaExchange post to help get this limit removed or fixed: Fix Too Many Request Error for Data Backup

In the meantime, I’m testing a technical workaround using a this script

to automate the "wait time" between files.

Thanks for your help!

Martin

Hi,

After the meeting on Wednesday our next meeting should be in January. I'm thinking about January 14th at 1pm but am willing to think about other options if someone wants to suggest one.

I wanted to give people who can't make Wednesday meetings a chance to vote for something else.

God bless,

Martin

i’m good with Jan 14 at 1pm. If anyone can’t make that, maybe drop your availability here in the next couple days so we can lock it in.

Thanks everyone for attending the meeting today.

Trevor from Wezana looked at deduplication software from Plauti, and also Cloudingo that has a free trial.

Wezana Solutions is a trusted Salesforce consulting partner, helping organisations design, implement, and support tailored CRM solutions. With deep expertise in Nonprofit Cloud and other Salesforce platforms, they empower clients to streamline operations and make data-driven decisions.  They have worked with a number of Faith-Based organisations

Clare Bell from Alpha talked about a number of projects that she has been working on including using Scrapy to find Alpha courses on other websites that they didn't know about.

Martin shared about using AI, including a silly Flappy Bird game that he created using just one sentence and Claude AI.

We are now thinking of next meeting at 1pm on Wednesday Jan 28th 2026. If I don't see you before then, have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
