Trailblazers Orange County California

A place to hang out and discuss anything Salesforce for Trailblazers from in and around Orange County and LA, California

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to SF, and I've been cleaning up my companies Org. I recently did a mass update using

Jetstream, and it looks like it caused some sort of glitch in my lightning reports. Alot of the Operators that used "Contains" now show up as "undefined". Has anybody else had this issue? Is there a fix? from what ChatGPT told me, it is a temporary glitch, but I wanted to confirm. The Operators still appear and work when I move to Classic.

Hello!!

In my salesforce org, Email Tracking was enabled. However, the Users are not able see if the email that were sent from salesforce and listed in Activity tab in Opportunity object  was opened or not. Interestingly users can track the open status of the email if they go to Person Account and check the Activity list in there.

What am I missing out here? Is there a way to enable user to track email open status from Opportunity itself? Admins can track email status from Activity list in Person Account and Opportunity as well.

PS: As per help article an email isn't tracked if any of the following are true:

  • The recipient field has an email address only, and no related contact, lead, or person account.
  • The body of an email is blank.
  • The email is sent from Cases or from an email that uses Email-to-Case. If you create an email from a Case in Salesforce Classic using the EmailAuthor action and send it to a Contact, the email is tracked.

----- None of the points applicable for my scenario.

Please help! Thanks in advance.

    Thank you @Kavita Shingarpure.

In our Salesforce org, email Tracking was enabled. Users can track the open status of the email if they go to Person Account and check the Activity list in there but not able to see open status of email in opportunity.

So as mentioned by you I tried to find  "Last Email Opened Date" or "Email Tracking History" on Contact records. But couldn't find. Can you please guide?

Hello Everyone!

I am new here in this group. I have a question, and I really need some guide from you all.

At my workplace, I mostly do Salesforce Admin related work. But the application we are using currently is going to be moved from Visualforce to LWC. Can anyone of you please let me know how do I prepare i.e. step-by-step process to upskill myself in LWC, so that I can contribute better? I have very little knowledge in Visualforce. Since all our application use Visualforce, so do I have to learn Visualforce thoroughly before I can jump on to learning LWC learning?  I'm little overwhelmed, please guide!!

Thank you in advance.

    Hi @Paramita Mallick Gupta

According to me, yes you should go through VF first because when you will be working/converting from VF to LWC you should know how that existing VF works in order to convert it to Lwc so that the business process/logic is not affected

    Your learning steps are correct.

    As per my experience

If you know JS well, like all the basics and have a good understanding of JS, LWC would be very easy to understand for you because LWC is mostly based on JS and html

And CSS, don’t consume much time on it as we already have SLDS  that we can use. CSS basics are fine.

    Rest everything is good
