Hello, I think I found a bug with this Section component when it is used in a Visualforce page with Lightning Out. The Flow is very simple, it only has an email component and a Section. See attached. What would be the best way to get additional info to the dev team for this? Open a case and drop the case number here?
Jun 7, 2021, 4:42 PM We're still working on a fix, but here's the known issue: https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p4V000001nnNOQAY
Hey Salesforce! Is there anything on the roadmap to increase the column limit? We have a use-case that will require 5 columns. A label (specific type of communication, i.e. Newsletter, Appeal, etc.) and 4 checkboxes to manage the communications preferences of our supporters for each method, i.e. Mail, Email, Phone, SMS. We are currently paying a subscription for an app to allow us to format the information in a grid but would definitely explore this option if 5 columns were permitted.
Hi everyone! I would like to give some feedback about the component. It would be great if we could specify an ID or API name for each section in order to identify them. For example, I'm thinking on a flow used in Experience Cloud where you want to apply different styles for different sections. Using these identifiers it would easy to differentiate every section.
Thank you and keep up the good work!
Trying to launch a flow with the new Section screen component from an Action & Recommendation results in an error. "We can’t display the flow because sections aren't supported here. Ask your Salesforce admin to distribute this flow only where sections are supported, such as in a Lightning page or via a quick action."
Meanwhile, placing the same flow on the Lightning Page works fine.
Apr 27, 2021, 3:12 PM We resolved this by making the flow into a button. However, the tab shows up as a task instead of the flow name. Do you know how to fix this?
Wondering when Flow Multicolumn Screens will be generally available? Wonder no more.
I'm happy to announce that we are GAing this feature with the Summer 21 release! In addition to the Section component being generally available, you can also enjoy these changes:
- Flows that contain Section components are now supported when launched from the Einstein Next Best Action and Actions & Recommendations components.
- Labels for components in sections are now supported in Translation Workbench.

Hi @Sam Reynard, would I be able to add a section (like a page layout) to club the relative fields together on a screen flow?
Thanks
Hello, are there limitations with the number of sections per screen flow? I get a non-descrpt error message when I add another section. When I remove it, the error goes away.
Apr 8, 2021, 3:40 PM Better explanation, thank you for that. I updated Section8 to Section_8 and was able to move forward.
I discover this feature and it will help us to improve our input screens. I noticed that the reader sequences is first the fields in the left colmunn and then the seconds. When you want this in an other way link first field left , first field right, second field lift, second field right etc, you had to split this up in more sections.
Hi All, I am trying out this feature with a few dozen yes/ no questions and would appreciate any ideas on how I can handle the checkbox field to the right of the question. You can see that the below options are not appealing. Thanks for any inputs.
Mar 26, 2021, 5:14 PM I understand. It sounds like you're trying to use the Section component to have horizontal controls instead of vertical ones. This isn't a use case we optimized Sections for, but the best recommendation I have for getting the alignment you want is to break it down like this:
Section 1:
Column 1: Question 1 | Column 2: Yes | Column 3: No
Section 2:
Column 1: Question 2 | Column 2: Yes | Column 3: No
Section 3:
Column 1: Question 3 | Column 2: Yes | Column 3: No
