Soberforce

Don't drink but still like to party and have fun? Then come join this group. We are looking to meet up and support each other during Dreamforce, TrailblazerDX and other Salesforce events to support the sober community.

Hey - is this group active for this year's Dreamforce? I only see activity from 2024. Would love to connect with other sober people while I'm there.

I haven’t seen anything posted for 2025 yet, but sometimes those groups don’t spin up until closer to Dreamforce. You could try posting in the Trailblazer Community under the Dreamforce group to see if anyone else is organizing something this year.

Hey there, for any of you at DF, if you're having trouble finding the soberforce events and agenda builder, it seems like there's a glitch so that they don't always show up. Here's the happy hour registration link that has info for the other events! https://df24soberforce.splashthat.com/

If you have any questions, feel free to email at rebecca.marshall @ Salesforce . Com

Heading to Dreamforce? We've got the Soberforce community covered! All events are listed in the Sessions Catalog (as Activities) and can be added to your "My Agenda" page. Please give me a shout with any questions! Here's a handy LinkedIn post if you want to share to your networks. We're happy to have help spreading the word!

Btw, here's a long-form fun fact I just learned. This Trailblazer Community Soberforce group was created in 2019 by someone outside of Salesforce. Separately, and without knowing this group existed, a group of Salesforce employees established an internal ERG sub-group also called Soberforce in 2020 during prime pandemic times.

We're committed to:

  • Destigmatizing recovery and supporting employees who might need help knowing how to navigate finding help or navigating a return to work
  • Creating broad inclusion for employees that are sober, sober-curious, non drinkers, or allies (monthly meetings, speaker events, company-wide Dry January challenges, etc)
  • De-centering work life from alcohol (i.e. creating NA alternatives at company events or identifying alternative gift giving options other than alcohol
  • And supporting employees and customers alike navigating Dreamforce, TDX, etc with sober-minded activities like the below.

I mention this all because:

  1. I serve as the Vice President of Soberforce and I'm so proud to work for a company that gives me the opportunity to be of service AND supports the sober community's inclusion and by extension our customers/partners at our biggest events.
  2. We want to be of service to other companies looking for help to establish similar ERGs or affinity groups.
  3. Because great minds think alike and it's such a wonderful serendipity that both of these groups are in existence.

In endless gratitude,

~Rebecca

Good day everyone.  My name is Jim F. and I am a member of Alcoholics Anonymous in the Denver area.  I am a member of the Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) Panel for my AA District.  If any organizers/members within Soberforce would be interested in having our Panel present at a virtual function, we would be more than happy to.  We typically give a 30-minute presentation on the history of AA, the three-fold nature of the disease, what AA does and does not do, and the various types of AA meeting formats. I can be reached at jpflynn8@yahoo.com or on my cell at 610-996-2232. Thank you.

Hello. I am DeAnn. I am the president of Show Up and Stay which is a non-profit focused on bridging the gap between healing from Substance Use Disorder and healing your life.  Normalization of sobriety, especially in the workplace is a big part of that.  I am very interested in speaking with someone from the Soberforce community for an upcoming podcast episode to discuss this amazing program and community.  If you would be interested or can point me to anyone in the community that you think would be comfortable speaking on this in a public setting, please let me know. Thank you for your time!

I mentioned Salesforce and Soberforce in this weeks episode on "the sober positive workplace"
