Hello Trailblazers,

I hope you're doing well.

I have 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Administration and Development and would love some guidance from experienced professionals in the community.

My current skills include:

  •  Salesforce Administration
  • Flows & Process Automation
  •  Apex
  • SOQL/SOSL
  • Reports & Dashboards
  • Data Management & Security
  • Agentforce

Certifications:

• Salesforce Certified Administrator

• Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist

I would appreciate your advice on:

• Which skills are currently most in demand for Salesforce Admin and Developer roles?

• What should I focus on learning next to accelerate my career growth?

• Which certifications would provide the most value at this stage?

• How can I position myself for mid-level Salesforce roles and better opportunities?

I am actively learning and continuously improving my Salesforce skills. I am also open to new Salesforce Administrator and Developer opportunities if anyone has suggestions or referrals.

Thank you for your guidance and support.

    Hi @Rutuja Dhavale

Here's my honest take after 17+ years in the industry, and several years in Salesforce ecosystem:

What's actually in demand right now:

AI/Agentforce skills are the hottest things at the moment — and you've already got the Agentforce Specialist cert, which puts you ahead of most 2-year profiles. Double down on this. Data Cloud (Data 360) is the other area where good talent is genuinely scarce, especially people who understand it end-to-end — not just the UI but the data modelling behind it.

    What to learn next:

    • Data Cloud fundamentals — even basic proficiency sets you apart from 90% of Admin/Dev profiles at your level
    • Prompt Builder & Einstein — natural extension of your Agentforce knowledge
    • LWC if you're serious about the developer path, pure Apex/Flow profiles are increasingly a commodity

Certifications worth pursuing at your stage:

    • Platform Developer I — table stakes for mid-level developer roles
    • Data Cloud Consultant — high value, lower competition, strong market signal right now
    • Platform App Builder if you want to stay Admin-leaning

    Positioning advice:

Don't pitch yourself as "Admin or Developer" — pick a lane and go deep. The mid-level market rewards specialists over generalists. Given your Agentforce cert, positioning yourself as an

    AI + Automation specialist

is a genuinely differentiated angle right now — very few 2-year profiles can credibly claim that.

Bonus recommendation: Build in public — ask questions and answer other people's questions here, post on LinkedIn, document what you're building. That visibility matters more than most people realise at your career stage.

Good luck — you're asking the right questions at the right time! 🙌
