Every one of my published Tableau Public workbooks fails to load, and I also can't publish new ones from Tableau Desktop Public Edition. Both give the same error:
[SQLSTATE:HY000] Could not translate the host name "prod-dataplane26-tabhf-hyper.hyper-in-tableau.svc.cluster.local" to an address: Name or service not known. Unable to connect to the Tableau Data Extract server "". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
I've already tried to isolate it and ruled out everything on my end:
- It affects ALL my workbooks, not just one.
- It happens both when viewing existing public links and when publishing new content.
- I tried a different device and a different network — still fails.
- I tried a different Tableau Public account — still fails.
- The Trust status page shows Tableau Public as Available (green).
The host in the error is an internal cluster address (a backend Hyper data plane, "dataplane26"), so this looks like a server-side backend issue rather than anything I can fix.
Is anyone else seeing this right now, or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks.

Have you confirmed you're using the latest Tableau Public release (2026.2)? If not, update first, as many issues are version-related. If the problem persists, share the exact error message or a screenshot so the community can help troubleshoot further.
