I’m working on Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) and I’m experiencing an issue with Product Configurator Preview.
My setup:
- Created and activated a Product Configuration Flow (Default_Product_Configurator_Flow_V2)
- Created Product Classifications (Smart Speakers, Security Devices)
- Assigned attributes to Product Classifications
- Assigned Product Configuration Flow to Product Classification and Product
- Product and Product Classification are active
- Product (Echo Mini Speaker) belongs to Smart Speakers
Current behavior:
- Product Classification Preview works successfully ✅
- Product Preview does NOT work ❌
I receive the following error:
"We can’t preview the Product Classification or the product. Ensure that the Product Classification is associated with a flow identifier in Product Configuration Flows."
What confuses me is that:
- The Product Classification is already assigned to an active Product Configuration Flow
- The Product itself belongs to that classification
- The flow is active and contains all required configurator components
Has anyone encountered a case where Product Classification preview works, but Product preview fails?
Is there an additional setting, product relationship, metadata sync, "Configure During Sale" requirement, or Product Configuration Flow assignment that I may be missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@Candy Esomonu I have configured the Product Configuration Flow record (referencing the API name of the Default Product Configurator flow) and associated the bundle Products. When i click on the "Preview" button from the Bundle Product's detail page, the pop up displays the bundle structure correctly. But it does not seem to be running the product configuration itself ? I mean, there are some add-ons configured for the bundle product for which the "Includes component by default" checkbox is checked in the Product Related Component, meaning, these are checked by default on load of the configurator. This is not happening in Preview display. When i view this from Quote configurator via Browse Catalog button from Quote detail page, the bundle product loads with add-ons checked on load.
