Hi, so our current process is connecting the hyper file on tableau desktop then publishing to server but client was wondering whether it would be possible to connect to hyper files on tableau server itself instead of having to use tableau desktop. Is this possible?

Sorry if I am not making sense as I am new to tableau, but from my understanding not all dashboards that are located on tableau server need to be published. So I guess what I am asking is if I upload a dashboard to tableau server (don't publish it), can I connect that dashboard to a sharepoint hyper.
I know you can connect to hypers that are published on tableau server but not sure if I can connect directly to a sharepoint hyper without having to publish it on tableau server.
