I’ve tried to add the Radar chart to my Tableau Desktop trial, but for some reason, it’s still running indefinitely.
When the file is opened, only dots are shown. When you click on 'Format Extension' and click Apply, the lines show up. The same behavior exists when adding 'Name' values (when a values is selected, only the dots are show up until clicking 'Format Extension' - 'Apply'.
I don't know if this is an artifact of using the extension with twbx or an issue with the extension in general.
It appears the extension only allows the Dimensions, Spokes, and Measure values in the tooltip. (see 'Format Extension' - 'Tooltips').
I don't know what you mean by 'linear line' and 'cardinal' [line].
In general, when using an extension, you will be limited to the settings allowed in the extension.
If you require settings not available in an extension, you can build your own radar chart. There are several guides online, including Making Radar Charts in Tableau - The Data School
