What is the easiest way to see how many workbooks are impacted?
My suggestion is to go with Tableau Developer API (Although I am not an expert in the API space) and just write code to get workbooks metadata, however my teams expert thinks we can select the right DB from external assets and then select the lineage tab. Is this correct?
Can someone please tell me which option is better? The lineafe tab seems like something that is not scalable.

Hi, both answers may work. Probably the one with the lineage may work best. However, I would recommend you to double check.
a. Go to Explore, then select All Data Sources.
b. Go to the filter options (!important, In datasource type select all), type in the server name, the connection type and any details you need to go to the spefic results you need.
c. Then, you can sort by the workbooks column.
