Hello,
I have created a workbook where a user is able to select a geographic area of interest (Ex: Colorado and California), and then see demographic data about that region. I would like the user to be able to save their progress on the application, so when they select an area and exit out, they return to that selection the next time the workbook is opened. Right now when you exit the workbook on server and reopen, progress is lost and you return to the starting screen. Is this possible? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Probably this is not what you want, but probably is the closest you will get. You may want to work with custom views:
