It is confusing for users not familiar with worksheet names. Therefore, I would like to default to the visualization that has been clicked on/deemed active. I've looked under settings but can't find a way to disable this feature.

We do not have any option/provision currently to disable the feature as desired. You may need to work with third party extensions that would allow you to export data directly from the sheet.
