how to stop filter from resetting when switching between story pages in tableau?

If I select a date range from a filter on Page 1 of the story and I go to page 2 and then I decide to switch back to Page 1, it doesn't maintain the filter selection for date range that I selected, it goes back to the default selection. Is there a way to change it?
