Hello on Tableau community
Background :
i install tableau server in linux operation system with instance type as c5.4xlarge(16 Core CPU and 32 Giga Memory) with recomendation of Instance for install tableau is 8 core CPU and 16 Giga Memory.
Refference : https://help.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/server_hardware_min.htm
i have install tableau server -> activate tableau server with license -> mount directory of tableau (/var/opt/tableau) to EFS but after i execute command "tsm start", there is some service can't running(backgrounder ,dataserver ,flowminerva, flowprocessor, vizportal, vizqlserver).
i suspect that the services (backgrounder ,dataserver ,flowminerva, flowprocessor, vizportal, vizqlserver) can't running because latency from tableau server to EFS(Elastic file System).
Tableau server statement that "No more than 10 millisecond storage latency between Tableau Server and the storage system."
Refference : https://help.tableau.com/current/server-linux/en-us/server_external_filestore_performance.htm
Questions :
Is it true that the service failures were caused by latency between the Tableau server and the EFS?
What is the maximum latency for EFS in a region with Throughput mode set to Elastic if you have expirence about that?
i mean that latency from Tableau Server to EFS with description of EFS as "File system type : Region" and "Throughput mode : Elastic" , "Performance mode : General Purpose"
Note : Tableau Server and EFS in Jakarta(ap-southeast-3)

Hi, I would say the minimum RAM requirements are 64 GB RAM for your release (take a look of the link you attached, the initial node requires at leas 64GB RAM). If you say you are using 32GB RAM, probably that is the problem.
If this post resolves the question, would you be so kind to "Select as Best"?. This will help other users find the same answer/resolution and help community keep track of answered questions. Thank you.
