I would like to know if the issue concerning the ability to sort quick filters by a specific measure has been included recently in Tableau Desktop.
I've read this article (Unable to Sort Quick Filters by Measure) published in 2020 and the proposed solutions, but the tip to manually sort the filter cannot be applied in my case.
Is another workaround possible?

I'm afraid no changes on that front - you still can't sort quick-filters besides using the manual sorting on a field (https://kb.tableau.com/articles/issue/sorting-quick-filters-by-a-measure).
Is using a separate sheet as a filter - also mentioned in the article - an option for you? I included a simple example in attached workbook.
