Bridge is running on Windows, as a service, under a local admin account.

the folder is c:\users\myuser\appdata\local\temp\TableauTemp\hyper_NNNNN_<28 char alphanumeric>

Overnight this folder disappears, which causes error on the Bridge refreshes.

Manually recreating this folder brings Bridge back to life.

It's only happened since we updated to Bridge 2021.4.

We are now on Bridge 2021.4.3 (20214.22.0108.1039) and its still happening.

Anyone else seen this happen? Any suggestions?

15 July: Working with Tableau Support, it seems the issue is with "Legacy (Bridge) schedules"

We have now converted our Data Sources to support Online Refresh and (touch wood) haven't had any more issues recently. Bridge is still required, but the Bridge client doesn't show the scheduled data sources, as they are scheduled in Tableau Online.

To convert a data source from Bridge to Online refresh, it's all done from Tableau Online.

Edit the data source connection, click "embed password in connection", enter username and password and ensure that "private network" is ticked. Then remove the Bridge schedule from the data source and add in "New Extract Refresh" to rebuild the schedule.

It's worth noting that the Online refresh supports 5 min precision on the scheduling, rather than the minimum of one hour precision with Bridge scheduling.
