From the official documentation: https://help.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/ssl_config.htm (Section Change or Update SSL certificate) seems that a tsm pending-changes apply needs to be run after an update of the certificate, this is causing a restart of the tableau server that, in my case, is taking 15 minutes.
Is there any way to avoid the full restart of the tableau server after updating the SSL certificate?

Please create an idea for this or upvote if one already exists.
Another option is to use a reverse proxy /load balancer in front of your tableau server, this will perhaps have better options for cert rotating than tableau has. This is anyway a good practice to not expose your entire server, even inside company networks, but use a load balancer instead
