I'd like to create a calendar that highlights milestone dates, while also "linking" dates that are related. Each box is a milestone, while some are start and end dates to a time period, others are just daily tasks. My excel doc has a list of these tasks and the date they are associated with. I have created the calendar with the separate milestones, however the linking of appropriate milestones is what I am struggling with. I'm not sure if tableau is able to do this, but any help or ideas would be appreciated! Attaches is a pic of what I am trying to accomplish at a high level.

This doesn't seem like the easiest use for Tableau but perhaps if you look up some of the threads on creating custom fiscal calendars then use this to build a calendar view, it may help:
