I'd like to create a map view in Tableau 10.3.2 using a background map but I am struggling with adjusting the map correctly.

 

To test it I created a map showing the spots (imported via a kml file from google maps) I want to display later and then took a screenshot. Before I annotated the points in the corners to get the coordinates.

 

Afterwards I uploaded the picture and assigned the coordinates shown in the corners. That worked well, the background map is displayed in the workbook.

 

But: The marks do not overlap. They only do on the upper and lower borders. Towards the middle there seems to be a systemic distortion.

 

Anyone any idea how to fix this?
