Hi Tableau Community,
For one of my dashboards, I would like to have a shape chart
visualization with the following requirements:
1. Years displayed on the Axis label on the top (2nd axis)
2. Axis label hidden on the bottom of the chart (1st axis)
3. Gridline set to display a dot-line for each years
Unfortunately, it seems that my requirements 2 and 3 are not possible together.
To display the Axis label on the top I create a dual-axis and hide the bottom Axis label by setting the tick to none.
By default Tableau is displaying the gridline every 2 years, so I would like to change the gridline interval but it seems than to fix the gridline interval I need to set the major tick of my first axis (bottom) but then the Axis label are displayed. Set the major tick on the 2nd Axis doesn’t have impact on the gridline.
Is there another solution to set the gridline interval and in the same time keep the axis label on the bottom of my chart hidden?

I have been playing with it and think the best thing to do is set the axis font color to match the background color and then make the axis as narrow as possible.
