What is the best approach to get the mark labels to align completely with the associated bar?
See screenshot for example. Notice how the auto setting has the top bar aligned, but the next two don't completely align to their bar. I can move all three numbers at the same time manually, but the closest I can get is getting a single number completely aligned while the other two are closer, but not exact.

Have you tried using the Measure Values on the Text Marks Card instead of the individual Measures?
Like this example below:
