Happy Friday Tableau world!

I am struggling with something which I believe should be fairly simple and was hoping someone on here may be able to help.

The image below shows actual data in the first columns followed by a simple bar chart.  So far so good.

Stacked Bar Chart Question

My problem arises when I try and drop in a dimension on the color attribute to essentially make that bar chart a stacked bar.  Instead of doing that, Tableau creates a new chart for each item.  See the image below.

I was hoping for those colors to essentially be broken out in the first image so I am left with one single line of information.

Anyone have any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?  I apologize in advance for the stupid question.

Thank you!

Grant

    Hi Grant

If you are looking for a single bar like this

Hi Grant If you are looking for a single bar like this you would duplicate the data and union it to itself this will use the individual copies to create a single measure and this placed on color break
