Hello everyone,

This is my first post, as I started using Tableau around 3 months ago. Sorry if this question has been asked, I am still learning to browse the forums and have not found an answer.

Problem :

I have created some Workbooks for people in my company through Tableau Desktop. They access the workbooks via Tableau Online.

I have included some Tooltips to help them understand the data.

When they download the data as a crosstab, however, they get a csv with multiple additionnal rows, due to the Tooltips, which makes the files much harder to use...

Do you see anyway to fix this, as in : have the information from the crosstabs displayed on screen, but not be included in the .csv they download ?

The tooltips :

Tableau Online: Download a crosstab withouth including the tooltips

Tableau Online (i have hidden some info for confidentiality reasons):

Thanks in advance !

    Hello Jean-Brice

Please see this idea -    and the suggested workaround by Jonathan Drummey:

"This capability already exists in Tableau, in a not-so-intuitive manner: If you select the data in the worksheet, then either use Worksheet->Copy->Data or right-click and select Copy Data, you get a "true worksheet" that can be pasted into Excel, Notepad (as a tab delimited table), etc."

    I hope this helps
