I want to sort this Tableau table by the year 2026 (nested sort). I was able to do it before, but I’ve forgotten how. Currently, it’s sorted by 2025.

You need to put [Sorting] on the Text mark. This allows the columns to be sorted. When a column is selected for sorting, the column's header value appears as the check box value in the [Name] sorting options when Nesting is selected.
If you don't want [Sorting] to appear on the table, you cannot sort using the method you are trying to use.
