How can I add multiple sheets to the primary 'View' area without having to create a Dashboard to do it?
Here's what I am doing and where I get stuck-
1. Open Tableau
2. Import data from Excel consisting of multiple years
3. Click 'New Worksheet'
4. Drag-and-Drop Dimensions (fields) to the Workspace including 'Year'
5. In Filters, select one of the years (e.g. 2016)
6. Rename sheet by right-clicking and 'Rename Sheet' (e.g. label it as 2016)
7. Duplicate worksheet by right-clicking on the worksheet and clicking 'Duplicate'
8. Rename the new worksheet to 2017
At this point, I want to drag-and-drop the 2017 worksheet into the main workspace or 'View' and place it to the right of 2016.
But it doesn't drag-and-drop.
How can I add multiple sheets to the primary 'View' area without having to create a Dashboard to do it?
I open Help to "Workbooks and Sheets, but don't see how I can add multiple sheets (worksheets) to one workbook (or View)

As Mark noted the only way to have multiple worksheets displayed in the same view is to use a dashboard...however:
Sometimes I see new Tableau users creating dashboards to have small multiple views and not realizing that Tableau can create small multiple views in a single worksheet with discrete pills. For example in this view I've got YEAR(Order Date) as a discrete dimension on Columns and automatically have a set of results for each year:
