Hello Experts - We have a strange problem. Before I describe the problem, let me describe our environment. We use Tableau Desktop and publish stuff onto Tableau Online (We DO NOT use Tableau Server). We are trying to build a prototype wherein Tableau Desktop connects to an on-prem SQL Server database and build visualizations. This works perfectly fine. However, when we publish the same Analytic to the Tableau Cloud, we get the following error: Please NOTE that this exact functionality was working just a few days ago. We use SQL authentication and we are able to connect just fine to the SQL Database using the SQL authentication credentials.
The connection is NOT embedded with the workbook and is published separately and uses a live connection to SQL Server with authentication set to "Prompt User"
What are we missing? Does Tableau Cloud connect and refresh off a live on-prem SQL Server database?

Hello Michael - Thank you for the speedy response! I was using a bridge earlier and it worked. In my opinion, the Tableau Bridge defeats the purpose of accessing data real-time. Hence, we tried the "Live" connection (which worked one time last week)
