Multiple Context Filters

I understand that by using a context filter, a temporary table is created limiting the number of records available to all other quick filters (including LOD expressions).

What happens if multiple filters are used as context filters?  I assume the resulting temporary table (I am also assuming there would be only 1 created or remaining) be void of records matching ANY of the context filters?

If i use 3 context filters, will Tableau create 3 sequential temporary tables, filtering each context in the order listed until a final temporary table is produced? ... or are all context filters applied on the source table during the initial query (such as NOT = X OR Y OR Z). 

Does the discuss change if the context filter is using a calculated field?

Does the use of multiple context filters impact performance any more than the use of 1?

Is there a limit to the number of context filters used?

There are a lot discussions on the use of 1 context filter, but I was hoping to get a better understanding of how Tableau handled multiple context filters, if the order listed mattered, and if there were unintended consequences that should be considered.
