I have a bunch of dashboards that are pretty much identical except that they show results for different variables. They all have the same filter and it has been set to apply to all worksheets using this data source. Each dashboard is used as a story point in a story. However the filters are not dependent. I want the user to be able to make a change to the filter on any story point and have it applied to all story points.

Regarding synchronizing filters in a story, it seems unlikely. It would be
cool if it could happen but it seems unlikely as it would beat the whole
purpose of why we have a story consisting of dashboards where each one
is a snapshot in Time or some other dimension.
There is an ideas section where you can suggest an idea and if it gets many
votes, we may see it in newer/forthcoming releases. Take care and Best wishes !
