Hi All, I have a dataset with 3 years of data in which it is important for the user to see a running total on today's date compared to this date last year and the year before. For example, I'd like a final dashboard to be able to display that on 12/8/2022 we had 3,718 applications, on 12/8/2023 we had 3,736 applications, and today on 12/8/2024 we have 4,282 applications. Right now I am stumped on how to get from where I am (workbook attached) to something displaying that info. I think I need to somehow filter down to the "current date", i.e. 12/8 of all three years, but then I lose my accurate running total. I'm grateful for any advice or new approaches. Thanks!
No worries...if you do need help with Prep, please post a new question and we'll be able to guide you on how to use the Running Sum function in Prep. It is fairly straightforward with the new dialog they've recently created which mimics table calc's; but, it will give you discrete and real values to work with in Desktop.
