connect Extract remotely

Hi all, Is it possible to connect an Extract on another machine using tableau reader? Just like the DB connection. Thanks !!

Tableau reader is the viewer only. like read only. we can only view the data and we cannot create anything in that.   Thanks sankar

Hi Edwin, when we connect extract then it go to file directory right. When we connect excel or any local file that time we can connect with remote and also we can save the extract into remote and connect it. if possible to connect remote then try. we can connect shared machines only.   Thanks sankar
