Display "helpful" text before Action Filter (Exclude All Values) is selected?
We are getting ready to roll out some Tableau reports to users that, for the most part, are very unfamiliar with Tableau and how to interact with it.
We have several scenarios (on various reports) where Sheet A on a Dashboard has an Action Filter associated with it that drives the results of Sheet B on the same dashboard. We have these Action Filters set up to exclude all values...meaning you won't see Sheet B until you select something from Sheet A.
To help our new users, we would like to put some text where Sheet B's data will be that says "Click a value in Sheet A" and have that helpful text disappear once a value is selected. Currently all our containers on our Dashboards are tiled.
Anyone have any tips, tricks, suggestions for us? We were making the background or boarder of Sheet B gray (to imply a "placeholder" area) but that has been ruled "ugly".
Is this our only option: Make the Sheet's containers floating and make the "helpful" text floating as well? And then send the text to the back.

In my sheet, someone had to select the dealer number of an eligible customer for the data to pop out, and if the customer wasn't eligible they saw the above messages.
