Hello -

I'm wondering if anyone has manually updated the Apache version utilized by Tableau Server. Our client has flagged the current version utilized by Tableau Server (2.4.12) as being unstable and we need to update to version 2.4.14 or later.

Based on this previous thread: Tableau Server Apache Version Russell Christopher tidbits informed that "FYI - As an admin you may not update / change the apache distro yourself.".

Can others confirm this? Has anyone updated the Apache version for Tableau Server before?

Your help is greatly appreciated as our client work will be forced to stop if we can not update the Apache version.

Thanks,

Ben

The "Apache" embedded in Tableau Server is not detached, modular, off-the-shelf Apache like you'd get from SourceForge. So, no.

If you upgrade the Tableau Server code to the most recent, however, you should get something fairly close to prevailing standard in terms of Apache version.

What version of code is your Tableau Server running?
