I am reposting this question as I have searched the community but didnt received relevant answer for the same.
Please assist its very urgent and important for me.
I need to create the metrics YTD - This Year, YTD -Last Year. The important thing in the same is I want the YTD values to be controlled by the selector values. In the selector I have Year amd Month. So suppose if I select Year= 2013 and Month = July
I should get the values YTD- 2013 July( YTD - This Year) and YTD- 2012 July( YTD - Last Year).
I am able to calculate the YTD and LY YTD values by using this technique http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/creating-ytd-mtd-calculations But here its fixed with today() , I want dynamic with the selector values.
Please assit.

Thanks for the reply. But my requirement is slightly different. So if you see in the screenshot I have selectors "Year" and "Month", so suppose
1) I select Year=2014 , Month =July so I want YTD metric A whose value is July 2014 YTD and metric B LY YTD as July 2013 YTD
2) If I select Year=2013 Month = Aug so I want metric A whose value is Aug 2014 YTD and metric B LY YTD as
Aug 2012 YTD
If I do according to the
Creating YTD and MTD Calculations | Tableau Software
this is fixed for 2014 only. This will show for 2014 YTD and for last year as 2013 YTD.
