I receive this message when trying to publish a data extract to the server:
"The data source you are publishing contains 4 calculations that reference a different data source in this workbook. The calculations will not be valid outside of this workbook and cannot be used on the server."
I published the other data source that these calculations are using first and I have published the workbook, so I'm not sure why this would be a problem. This is an extract that I need to be able to publish so I can set up automatic refreshes.
I have found answers that say to create a blank template so the user can download the report and see the calculations, but I need the calculated fields to appear on server.
Any help would be appreciated.

Even if you publish the datasource that contains the blended fields, this link cannot automatically happen on Server as of right now. The solution is to create a blank workbook that has both data connections in it already. This way, users will not have invalid calculations.
