I have a text table that consists of three columns: Person, Sales in February, and Sales in March. I am trying to export this table to excel so I can manipulate the data but when I try to "View Data" and then "Export", it only allows me to export one column at a time (so either February or March), or it will export it with everything but in different rows, so Person 1 will have two rows, one for March and one for February, where as I just want them to have one row with two different columns. Tableau is not allowing me to select the Person column to export the data. Is there a way around this?
You should be exporting from the "Worksheet" menu.
"Worksheet">>"Export"">>"Crosstab to Excel"
