SUM based on product type

Question

I'm still new to this software...so I have three different products and the sales info is shown in the table below:

I'm trying to do a cumulative line of running total sales for each product. Anyone can help with the SUM function please?

I've tried:

SUM IF( [Product Type] = 'Product 1', [Sales] ) ELSE NULL END

but it doesn't work.

Thank you very much! It works!!   I have one more question: what if I want to add a cumulative line for all products group by "day" on the x-axis, do you know how I can achieve that?
