Hi,

Can we use Longitude and Latitude from an OLAP database (Visual Studio 2013 and SQL 2014)?

With the already Lat & Long from our dimension, we cannot represent data on maps.

As far as we understood from this forum, we added Lat & Long to the measures  and then to the cube's measures. But we are still not able to represent them.

We read something about using an aggregation formula, but not sure if this approach is correct.

Could anyone help us? How do we need to use the Long/Lat in our OLAP database?

Thanks in advance

Rafa

    Hi,

I am not sure whether We can use Lan/Lat from Cube.

I would like suggest 1 thing,

    1) You would have to connect to Internet to load the Map into your view.

    2) Use avg(Longitude) on Columns shelf, avg(Latitude) on rows.

    3) When you use Sate or Region related fields on the map,  If you get any messages on the bottom of the map like "3 Unknown", Double click on that , click on "Edit Locations", Then map values 1 by by selecting the Country.

I have created some sample maps using Lon/Lat values, refer that once how to use Lon/Lat values to get the MAP.
