Hello, I'm trying to stay away from table calculations and hoping to use a LOD calculation for what I need. I'm trying to:

  1. Count people for each month for a business unit, and then have another column that indicates the previous months person count for that business unit.
  2. Then I want to divide any given months person count by its previous months count. This can be a separate calculation and column or the same.

I'm having problems doing this and found an LOD example online, but can't make it work. Its called the previous months person count and I'm sure its more complex than it needs to be.

Link to my workbook on Tableau Public: https://public.tableau.com/views/LODTestPreviousMonth/PersonCount

Help appreciated!

Thanks.
