Hello experts,
We have installed Tableau 2020.1.2.
We are facing issue with the disc space.
Around 350 GB of disc space is being utilized by the logs file that are being generated.
I observe big log file were mostly from DataServers logs. Can anyone suggest, what is the solution, is there any way through which we can reduce the size of logs generated.
Thanks & Regards,
Sonal

Hi @Sonal Neema -
Log files are useful to trouble shoot issues. There are several ways you can do to control their size.
- You can configure Tableau to send notification once a certain disk limit is reached. Which then you can either archive or delete the files. For more details: https://help.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/maintenance_cleanup.htm
- You can also turn it off or set to a certain logging level. The more detail the logging level you set, the bigger the size be. The following are the level of increasing amount and you can find more information at the following: https://help.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/logs_debug_level.htm
- off
- fatal
- error
- warn
- info (the default)
- debug
- trace
