I will be starting with my first Tableau development project by next week also it will be the very first Tableau project for my organisation.
Currently I do not have information for the domain of the project but I have being asked to start listing down some questions related to Dashboard and Report (as a part of requirement gathering)
I have listed down few :
1.What are the useful comparison that will allow the dashboard’s users to see the data items listed in a better way
2.How often should the data be updated in the dashboard?
3.Please indicate the level of summary/detail at which each item should be expressed on the dashboard.
4.Are there any specific thresholds that represent exceptionally high or low values
5.What questions should this dashboard be able to answer
6.Is there a need to implement any security measures to ensure data is only visible by certain teams or individuals
7.What are the key metrics that will focus users on actionable information?
8.Will the dashboard needs to offer an ability to drill down to see more context?
Request you to please assist me, if any such questions needs to be asked to the client so as to understand their business and initiate the development.
