JRE 1.7.x... and Mission Control?

Hello -

 

I just installed Tableau Server 8.1 and noticed that by default it comes with JRE 1.7.0_13-b20.

 

I was wondering if it could run on JDK 1.7 u40 (or later) to benefit from Java Mission Control, among other things:

    Auro -

     

    Tableau Server is pre-packaged with certain versions of the bits we need and use. While it might run with versions other than what we install, it wouldn't be supported that way. You'd also put the installation itself outside of support the moment you start hacking at it like this. I'd just leave this alone in your shoes
