Hi Tableau Community,
I'm currently trying to connect to an Oracle database in Tableau Desktop version 2019.4, and I'm running into the following error:
Error Code: 37CE01A3
IPC_NamedPipe::Select(WaitForMultipleObjects): Timeout. Tabprotosrv cannot start or shut down unexpectedly.
Unable to connect to the Oracle server "*MY DB CONNECTION HERE*". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
I try to do the same exact connection in Tableau Desktop version 2018.3, and that has no issues whatsoever.
Does anyone know what might be causing the issue here, and what I should try do to resolve it?

It looks like you never specified the DB as per the: "*MY DB CONNECTION HERE*" which looks like a placeholder
