Tableau Integration with Slack

Has anyone experimented with tableau API integration with slack?

 

I am looking for functionality similar to what other BI tools offer (e.g. Looker’s slick Slack integration inserts data directly into conversations | TechCrunch ). Within slack you can ask tableau bot what reports are available and for each report, what filtering options are available. Bot then pulls the viz png from the server and publishes to slack.

 

I have no JS skills so wondering if I can collaborate with someone on this.

    Hi, Tom.

     

    I tried the email method. It works in Slack, but  the report picture in the email body does not show in Slack (see the attachment, the report was sent in Slack as a link in .png), seems that if the report picture is as an attachment, it would show.

    How did you solve this problem?

     

    Besides, there are many unrelated info except the report which make it look messy in Slack. Is it possible to deal with it?
