I am fairly new to this forum, so I would really appreciate your help. I am filtering my reports by date, where the users chooses from Tableau Date Filters (eg. Last Week, Last Month, This Month, Today, etc. ) I am trying to determine the efficiency of a specific equipment and I have the runtime in hours for that equipment. I am trying to find out a way to calculate the hours in a specific filter chosen by the user. Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks for your quick response. I am working with a co-worker to get you a copy of the workbook. In summary I bring data that already each hours tells me the amount of time the motor was running in that hour. So I have the runtime of that motor in any given time by adding all that data. Now I am trying to calculate a simple efficiency formula , runtime/total time. The runtime I already have, I am trying to find a way to calculate that total time. Since I am filtering in Tableau by time, the user can change that filter to anything (yesterday, last week, last month, etc). I am trying to find a way to calculate the total time in hours base on the selection of the user. So this value needs to be dynamic and it will depend on the user selection. As soon as I get the workbook I will attach it.
