A picture's worth a 1000 words, so I'm including some illustrations. I want a grand total like in Capture1, but with the columns sized as in Capture2.
I need the axis to be dynamic, so I can't fix the axis range. Also, logarithmic won't work because the values need to be exact.

What are you expecting to see?
This was recently discussed in this thread:
Bar Graph Grand Totals - show just Total (Text) for the Grand Total instead of the Bar
The closest solution was to create a separate sheet for the total and format the total separately.
